Psychobabble Records are pleased to announce the start of our Mail Order wing we hope to take Manx artists out into the wider world. And what better place to start than with former Ways of Stephen frontman, Mike Seed. For many years Mike has been an important and influential figure in the Manx Music scene, his self released and recorded c.d.s are, perhaps the finest examples of songwriting the Island has seen in recent years, and have attracted interest from fanzines, musicians and magazines far and wide. He number's D.J. Andy Kershaw amongst his many admirers. We are particularly pleased to have his newly released cd Passing Into Mystery.

Black Death, and a greater mortality rate than the average Nick Cave lp. This Mike's darkest album. It is also his most folk, on several tracks it appears he has been been using his reading of ancient dark literature as the starting point to create new "traditional" informed by the work of Smog and the Handsome Family. If it hadn't been for its lack of general availability (until now) this would have made the Declan's Stuff top 10 lps of last year.

Apology: sorry there isn't any pictures of the artwork on this page. But all Mike's packaging comes with individually hand stamped covers, which although they make for stylish and interesting cds images, don't exactly lend themselves to reproduction on a website. I couldn't even find a photo of the man himself on-line.
